To Build from Buildings

The innovation project Återhus enables the reuse of houses. The project today unites 14 collaborative parties that develop methods, processes and tools to be able to reuse heavy building parts such as frames and facades made of steel and concrete. The goal is to integrate large scale reuse of heavy load bearing structures in new construction. In the same way that the mixing of different types of recycled materials can add architectural qualities to a new building, we have looked at whether the visual identity can make use of a similar collage technique through letterforms, colours and shapes.
